Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled
Computer Scientist/System Analyst to support the Regional Information System (REGIS) and Staffing and Payroll System (SAPS) programs. The analyst will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support, system analysis, and development services to ensure the successful operation and maintenance of these critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Analysis and Development:
- Conduct requirements analysis, evaluate emerging technologies, and provide recommendations for integration into REGIS and SAPS.
- Develop system design/architecture for requirement changes and implement approved enhancements.
- Prepare and submit test plans, conduct structured testing, and correct discrepancies found during testing.
- Provide database scripting, data marts, and data warehouses.
- Provide technical support for REGIS and SAPS applications and databases, including requirements analysis, system design, testing, and deployment.
- Maintain and update system documentation, training materials, and user support resources.
- Perform database management, performance monitoring, network maintenance, and configuration management.
- Operations and Maintenance:
- Ensure continuous operation and maintenance of REGIS and SAPS, including software management, database management, and hardware maintenance.
- Conduct periodic performance evaluations and provide recommendations for system optimization and re-engineering.
- Coordinate security activities, including recertification, security certification and accreditation, and vulnerability remediation.
Qualifications:
- US Citizen and permanent resident
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- Strong knowledge of financial management systems, database management, and IT infrastructure.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Government and contractor teams.
