Turret Punch Press Programmer to join our team, supporting the power industry located near Pontiac, Michigan. This is a first shift opportunity working a 5am-2pm Monday- Friday schedule with a pay range between $31-$58 hour with a full benefits package.
What You'll Do:- Program Amada brake and punch press machines, selecting the appropriate punches, dies, and press parameters to meet production requirements.
- Read and interpret part prints, blueprints, and design specifications to ensure accurate and efficient programming, utilizing modeling software to manipulate and optimize part designs.
- Choose materials (copper, aluminum, or steel) and adjust tools, speeds, and feeds for operations to enhance production efficiency.
- Identify and select the tools and dies
- Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot and improve programming processes.
What We're Looking For:- Experience programming Punch Press machines (milling and turning experience not applicable).
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software, specifically Amada is beneficial
- Familiarity with punches, dies, and tooling used in brake and punch press operations.
- Ability to read and interpret part prints, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Self-sufficient and ready to contribute immediately - minimal training available.
