Position: CNC Machinist
Location: Arcade, NY
Job Description:
We are seeking a self-motivated CNC Machinist to perform machine work on CNC Horizontal & Vertical Milling and Drilling. The ideal candidate must be able to set up and run machines proficiently after completing the required training.
The role requires reading blueprints, utilizing micrometers, calipers, and other standard measuring equipment. Some prior experience in metalworking is helpful. The candidate must be physically capable of occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. When needed, the incumbent will utilize cross-functional training to assist and reduce the workload demands of other critical departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC Horizontal & Vertical Milling and Drilling.
- Edit new and existing machine programs as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Use micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools
- Contribute to quality initiatives to increase productivity and efficiency
- Assist in other departments as required to support operations
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of related trade school training or equivalent job-related experience
Compensation:
- Initial Pay: $26/hour
- Eligible for performance reviews and pay increases every quarter
