Level 2 Compressor Station Operator to oversee the safe and efficient operation of natural gas compression equipment. This role is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining compressor station systems to ensure optimal run time and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Monitoring:
â Operate and monitor natural gas compressors, dehydration units, and associated equipment.
â Adjust operating parameters to maintain optimal pressure, flow, and efficiency.
â Conduct routine inspections and record equipment readings to detect irregularities.
â Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
â Perform minor maintenance and assist with repairs on compressors, engines, and auxiliary systems.
â Identify mechanical or process issues and escalate as necessary to maintenance personnel.
â Assist in troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems.
â Safety & Compliance:
â Follow all company safety policies.
Daily Reporting:
â Maintain accurate logs of operating data, maintenance activities, and safety checks.
â Report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or operational deviations.
â Utilize digital tools and systems for data entry and reporting.
Qualifications:
â Experience:
â Minimum 2-5 years of experience in gas compression, oil & gas operations, or industrial maintenance.
â Familiarity with rotating equipment, instrumentation, and process controls.
â Education & Certifications:
â High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training preferred).â Certifications such as OSHA 10/30, H2S Awareness, First Aid/CPR, or DOT Operator Qualification (OQ) are a plus.
â Skills & Competencies:
â Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
â Ability to read P&IDs, schematics, and technical manuals.
â Knowledge of HMI systems and control room operations is a plus.
â Good verbal and written communication skills.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
â Rotating shift work, weekends, and holidays as needed.
â Ability to work in varying weather conditions and remote locations.
â Frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs.), climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.
â Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
