Compliance Specialist:
We are seeking a diligent and dedicated Compliance Specialist to join our Compliance and Audit Department. This role involves working closely with the Compliance and Audit Manager to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and various banking laws and regulations. The primary focus of this position is to assist in the administration and implementation of the Bank's Compliance Program.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including BSA/AML, OFAC, Reg DD, Reg CC, Reg E, CRA, HMDA, ECOA, RESPA, TILA, Fair Credit Reporting, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and other state and federal regulatory requirements.
- Perform daily review, monitoring, and analysis of various reports to identify trends, unusual activity, and large currency activities.
- Assist with completing and filing applicable BSA reports (e.g., CTR, SAR, OFAC, 314a) to federal agencies within time limitations; maintain proper recordkeeping as required by law.
- Complete BSA certifications, AML software validations, and risk assessments; review certifications from other business units.
- Identify procedural and policy-related weaknesses and develop systems to resolve deficiencies.
- Initiate investigative procedures in the event of a compliance violation.
- Conduct Branch Onsite visits to assess compliance and operational risk.
- Gather, evaluate, and present data for staff, management, and committee meetings.
- Prepare written reports, including findings, analyses, conclusions, and action plans.
- Oversee third-party Vendor Management relationships and assess potential risks and impacts.
- Perform compliance monitoring and testing reviews for HMDA and CRA activities.
- Review and approve marketing materials, website/social media content, and product/service materials for regulatory compliance.
- Work with department managers to revise Bank forms and disclosures as needed for compliance.
- Monitor and respond to customer complaints; help resolve issues professionally and timely.
- Develop and administer annual compliance training schedules for Bank employees.
- Prepare High-Risk reports for the Audit Committee and/or Board of Directors.
- Assist with new product and service offerings, including research and responses to inquiries.
- Review policies and procedures and provide recommendations.
- Assist with compliance aspects of regulatory examinations and external audits.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all department and Bank policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
- 1-2 years banking experience
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years' banking experience, ideally with compliance or BSA
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- General understanding of banking transactions and electronic banking transactions.
- Familiarity with BSA/AML, OFAC, and related regulations.
- Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and observe strict confidentiality requirements.
- Strong research skills and ability to assess regulatory requirements.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with colleagues, supervisors, and auditors/examiners.
- Ability to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision.
- Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations and computer applications.
