The VERVE Hotel and Hampton by Hilton Boston-Natick are looking for a dynamic Complex Sales Manager to join their Sales team. Responsibilities: As a Sales Manager, you will thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, perfect for those aspiring to grow their careers in hospitality. Your key responsibilities include:
  • Lead Generation: Research, solicit, and generate new leads for group opportunities through database research and proactive sales efforts, aiming to exceed lead generation goals.
  • Customer Relationships: Develop market segments and new customer relationships while maintaining existing ones, striving to maximize revenue and profitability for all hotel revenue streams.
  • Business Strategy: Analyze historical, current, and future hotel and market trends to develop marketing initiatives that capture maximum lead revenue and meet sales goals.
Skills Required: This role demands strong sales, communication, and networking skills. You must demonstrate a deep understanding of customer needs and apply a disciplined approach to qualify, negotiate, and secure new revenue for the hotel.

Key Areas of Focus:
  • Customer and Account Management:
    • Engage with Hilton Worldwide Sales, local community Chamber of Commerce, and intermediaries to retain existing customers and secure new business.
    • Develop and execute plans for outside sales calls, industry trade shows, and customer events.
    • Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of business opportunities to meet short and long-term objectives.
    • Represent the hotel in all sales interactions, including creating business proposals and executing contracts.
    • Conduct site inspections and coordinate customer specifications via the lead management system.
  • Prospecting:
    • Research, solicit, and generate new leads for business opportunities, aiming to exceed lead generation goals.
    • Create and execute plans to shift market share from competitors.
    • Engage in outside sales activities to uncover needs, build relationships, and win new business.
  • Negotiations:
    • Negotiate contracts and commission agreements with customers and intermediaries.
    • Provide solutions that achieve and protect the hotel's financial goals while strengthening customer relationships.
    • Engage Hilton Worldwide Sales to support the contracting process when needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of Hotel Sales experience
  • Previous Hotel Group Sales experience
  • Ability to travel on short notice and adapt to schedule changes
  • Highly professional presentation and communication skills
  • Experience with sales automation (Delphi.fdc preferred) and PMS Systems (preferred)
