Wurzak Hotel Group is looking for an experienced Complex Chief Engineer to support the Engineer department at our gorgeous properties,Sheraton and Element Valley Forge. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth daily operations of both hotels, maintaining guest satisfaction, and overseeing all aspects of maintenance and facility management. The Chief Engineer will supervise and assist with tasks ranging from routine repairs to more complex systems troubleshooting, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. This position also ensures that all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with brand standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
The Company operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - Oversee and perform interior and exterior preventive maintenance and repairs such as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. Maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Respond to, assign and resolve engineering service requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner.
- Prompt reporting to hotel management all emergencies, injuries, missing articles, damage, mechanical problems and safety hazards.
- Document all parts used and parts needed to be purchased. Approves purchase orders within acceptable guidelines.
- Ensure maintenance problems are promptly reported through proper channels.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Practices and supports departmental safe work habits and comply with sanitary, safety, security and emergency procedures.
- Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Any other tasks/duties as requested by management.
Qualifications The Company may consider equivalent combination of acceptable education and experience providing the knowledge, skills and abilities cited below. Education and Experience - High School Diploma/GED required and training in building maintenance
- Hospitality experience required
- Five or more years experience in building maintenance, hotel maintenance or related
- HVAC and Gas Recovery Certifications a plus
