JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the Manager of Talent Management, this individual will play a key role in managing and administering the company total rewards programs, including compensation and benefits. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of total rewards principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels. Strives for superior performance by consistently providing a product or service to leadership and staff that is recognized as ultimately contributing to the patient and family experience. Recognizes and demonstrates understanding of patient and family centered care. JOB RELATIONSHIPS Responsible To: Manager of Talent Management Workers Supervised: None Inter-Relationships: Leaders, employees, vendors, internal and external customers. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of the company compensation programs, including salary structures, bonus plans, and incentive programs. Establishes internal job equity by evaluating and assigning appropriate jobs. Establishes external compensation equity by participating in and reviewing pay surveys; analyzing pay data. Perform compensation benchmarking for new hires, ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness. Identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement in total rewards programs. Maintains job descriptions and, as necessary, validates job requirements by analyzing jobs, including interviewing knowledgeable persons; observing jobs being performed. Participates in the development of and maintains pay structures by calculating pay grades and ranges. Generate reports and dashboards to track key metrics and provide insights to the Talent Management team and business leaders. Be a resource for employees in regards to benefits programs, including health, dental, and vision insurances and retirement plans. Coordinate open enrollment processes and provide support to employees with benefits-related inquiries. Partner with benefits providers to resolve issues. Avoids legal challenges by complying with Federal, State, and local legal requirements; helping others comply. Lead support Talent Management related projects as requested. Monitor labor cost trend, and develop/revise labor cost budget annually and as needed. Contribute to the development of communication strategy, policy and documents relating to compensation programs to ensure alignment with the company philosophy and values. Drive optimization by being actively engaged in continuous improvement efforts. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in total rewards. Demonstrate knowledge of and support hospital mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality statements, corporate compliance plan, customer service standards, and the code of ethical behavior. DEPARTMENTAL AND ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Provides departmental support by assisting team members as directed. Other duties as assigned. JOB SPECIFICATIONS EDUCATION Bachelor degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred. A certification in Human Resources such as PHR or SHRM-CP is preferred. EXPERIENCE Demonstrated strong understanding of compensation principles and practices required. Minimum of 4 years of experience in Human Resources with a focus on compensation, benefits, or total rewards required.
