The Compensation Analyst is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and administration of the compensation programs. This role involves conducting market analysis, job evaluations, and compensation benchmarking to support data-driven decision-making regarding employee pay structures and incentive programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and evaluate internal salary data and external market trends to support the development of competitive compensation structures.
Conduct job evaluations and salary benchmarking using tools such as Mercer, Radford, or
Assist in the development and administration of salary structures, merit increases, and incentive compensation programs.
Prepare compensation reports and dashboards for HR leadership and business partners.
Participate in salary surveys, collect and analyze survey data, and make recommendations based on results.
Ensure compensation practices comply with federal and state laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, Equal Pay Act).
Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition to review and approve job offers, promotions, and internal salary adjustments.
Support the annual compensation review cycle, including merit increases, bonus calculations, and compensation planning tools.
Maintain compensation-related data in HRIS systems and ensure data integrity.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or PHR certification is a plus.
Experience:
2-4 years of experience in compensation, HR analytics, or a related field.
Strong understanding of compensation principles, practices, and compliance requirements.
Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data modeling).
Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle) and compensation tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication skills to present complex data in a clear, concise manner.
