Essential Function:
Compensation Analysts are responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining pay programs for the organization. Associates will help shape compensation plans and policies that attract, motivate, reward, and retain a talented workforce. The position consults with organizational leadership to facilitate the company's compensation philosophy and works closely with HR and finance teams to ensure all programs are effective and efficient.
(this position is Hybrid working 2 days a week in the Texas Support Center)
Primary Duties
Administers various incentive plans and manages monthly rewards and recognition programs. Maintains familiarity with various incentive plans and works with business units in developing efficient and accurate methods for conveying information to the field. Responds to and resolve team member inquiries with respect to incentive compensation.
Conducts job analysis and documentation. Analyzes and documents information, prepares job descriptions, and evaluates and classifies jobs. Reviews and recommends changes in classification in accordance applicable Federal regulations. Classifies positions for posting. Consults with managers and recruiters in determining appropriate rates of pay for staff
Participates in compensation and salary surveys conducted by third-party processors concerning job classifications and rates of pay; analyzes data; prepares reports, summaries, and graphics reflecting data and market competitiveness and assist in the development of salary programs and structures.
Consults and advises managers on the proper classification of staff positions, interpretation of job classifications, and the application of compensation policies and procedures. Assists with budget and expense projections for the various cost centers within the organization.
Researches and prepares special reports; develops and conducts training sessions for supervisors and staff on a variety of compensation and classification topics
Audits pay practices to ensure compliance with federal and state legislation applicable to wage and hour laws and regulations. Initiates changes when appropriate.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, or related field preferred.
Experience with benchmarking positions to the third-party survey sources.
Experience with analyzing and administering short- and long-term incentive plans.
Experience with administering compensation at a publicly traded company preferred.
Ability to provide ethical, high quality, timely, professional, and positive consultative services.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Ability to understand and interpret procedures, policies, and guidelines.
Expert proficiency in Excel, and strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, e.g., Word, Power Point, Outlook.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
The work environment generally involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
The work is sedentary; however, occasional travel to company locations may be required. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
