Available Shifts: Full Time, Exempt, Mon-Fri 9a-5p Part Time, Non-Exempt, Mon-Fri 12p-5p (as needed) Provide substance abuse prevention services to young adult men and women who are enrolled in Historically Black College and University (HBCU) and who live in Birmingham. The community wellness specialist will engage in environmental and educational strategies and will also address availability and accessibility of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs in the targeted community. This is the perfect position for an individual who enjoys working with the local community. The area of service is Jefferson County. Bachelor's degree in social services, required Prior experience in substance abuse treatment/prevention a plus Good driving record required Motor Vehicle Report required if driving on behalf of Aletheia House Travel: Some local travel required (Daily) Must be willing to use and have your own personal transportation Mileage reimbursement for personal use of vehicle is included
