Community Life Enrichment and Activities Assistant is responsible for planning and leading programs that bring purpose and meaning to the lives of the individuals who are residents or short-term rehabilitation guests. This position is charged with engaging people to live their best lives and have a good day.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to interpret instructions (written and verbal)
- Strong customer service skills
- Capable of working independently or as a team
- Creative thinking and positive attitude
Responsibilities and Expectations: - Lead resident activities (arts, crafts, dance, music, exercise, brain games and sensory stimulation)
- Perform timely documentation
- Keep clinical staff updated on changes to resident condition
- Safely transport residents to programs
- Encourage residents to participate in scheduled events
- Arrange physical environment in preparation for activities to ensure resident and guest safety
- Create a welcoming and festive environment for residents
- Promote and support culture of patient centered care and service
