ARS is seeking an experienced Communications Workflow Manager & Scrum Master to coordinate the day-to-day operations of our strategic communications team. This role will ensure seamless workflow management across a multi-disciplinary team of communications strategists, content specialists, visual media experts, and digital marketers. Responsibilities include: Manage the daily workflow of tasks, information, and resources within the communications team
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including planning meetings, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Analyze existing workflows and processes to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements
Allocate personnel and resources effectively to support strategic communications priorities
Implement and maintain project management systems to track workflows, deadlines, and deliverables
Prioritize communications requests based on strategic importance and resource availability
Manage organizational communication channels to ensure efficient information flow
Monitor progress of communications projects and take corrective actions when necessary
Identify potential workflow risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies
Facilitate effective communication among team members, leadership, and stakeholders
Maintain accurate project documentation, including task assignments and performance metrics
Train team members on workflow processes and project management tools
Lead continuous improvement initiatives for team processes and procedures
Regularly report on team capacity, velocity, and deliverable status to leadership
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements: Must be a US citizen
Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Project Management, or related field
5+ years of experience in workflow management, project coordination, or similar roles
Certification as a Scrum Master (CSM or equivalent) or comparable agile experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for workflow optimization
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in fast-paced environments
Experience with project management tools and methodologies
Demonstrated leadership abilities with capacity to guide teams toward objectives
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in tracking projects and deliverables
Experience facilitating meetings and guiding teams through decision-making processes
Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance
Desired Qualifications: Experience in communications, marketing, or media production environments
Knowledge of government or defense communications processes
Advanced certification in Scrum or other agile methodologies (PSM, SAFe)
Background in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Kaizen)
Experience with communications workflow tools and digital asset management
Understanding of creative production processes and timelines
Background managing remote or distributed teams
Experience implementing or optimizing project management tools
Knowledge of communications approval processes in regulated environments
Change management experience or certification
