Position Overview The MCICOM G7 Communications Specialist will assist the COMSTRAT branch with the successful execution of the COMSTRAT program, ensuring that MCICOM communicates to inform key stakeholders to maximize operational success. Essential Job Function Support DC I&L and MCICOM via the MCICOM G7 by providing qualitative and quantitative research to develop an understanding of the information environment and communication issues and inform decision-making, planning, and execution. Serve as communication advisor(s) via the MCICOM G7 for DC I&L and MCICOM COMMSTRAT Director to support the commander(s) and staff(s) (higher, adjacent, and subordinate) by providing objective counsel during policy development, operational planning, and execution of communication tactics. Integrate COMMSTRAT considerations throughout the Marine Corps Planning Process (MCPP) through DC I&L and MCICOM commander's decision cycle via the MCICOM G-7 through the Boards, Bureaus, Centers, & Cells structure and conducts communication-specific planning in support of operational end states and institutional goals. Assess the effectiveness of COMMSTRAT research, planning, and execution/implementation in support of DC I&L and MCICOM objectives. Identify and develop courses of action for complicated issues and problems that pose a risk to the DC I&L and MCICOM mission and their organizational reputations. Respond to crises with timely and accurate information. Provide tailored COMMSTRAT training within DC I&L and MCICOM to build COMMSTRAT capability and mitigate risk in support of organizational objectives. Capture still and motion imagery in support of DC I&L and MCICOM objectives. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and at least ten (10) years of specialized experience or a Master's Degree and at least four (4) years of specialized experience. Secret Clearance Desired Qualifications Experience as any of the following: Public Affairs Planner, Digital Engagements Specialist, Public Relations Specialist (Photography), Marketing Specialist.
