Overview

The Communications Specialist will play a key role in supporting health related team by developing and executing strategic communication initiatives. This role involves crafting internal and external communications that align with high-level business goals, driving engagement, promoting key initiatives, and supporting senior leadership in delivering impactful messaging. Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical settings is required.

Pay: $38 - $42/hr, paid weekly, benefits eligible




Communications Specialist Duties

  • Develop and implement strategic communication plans aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Provide guidance and consultation to leadership and stakeholders on communication strategies and best practices.
  • Create compelling content for internal and external audiences across various platforms, including digital, social, media relations, and staff engagement.
  • Manage communication projects through their full lifecycle, from planning to execution to performance analysis.
  • Support key initiatives within the clinical practice, fostering collaboration among clinicians, researchers, and administrative staff.
  • Monitor communication outcomes and apply insights to improve engagement and effectiveness.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and serve as a trusted advisor to department leadership.
  • Identify communication gaps and opportunities, proactively offering solutions and adapting strategies as needed.



Communications Specialist Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, liberal arts, healthcare, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related area.
  • Proven expertise in strategic communications, content creation, media relations, and digital engagement.
  • Strong writing, editing, and interpersonal skills with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical communications is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while building relationships across teams and disciplines.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
