The Communications Specialist will play a key role in supporting health related team by developing and executing strategic communication initiatives. Communications Specialist Duties
- Develop and implement strategic communication plans aligned with organizational objectives.
- Provide guidance and consultation to leadership and stakeholders on communication strategies and best practices.
- Create compelling content for internal and external audiences across various platforms, including digital, social, media relations, and staff engagement.
- Manage communication projects through their full lifecycle, from planning to execution to performance analysis.
- Support key initiatives within the clinical practice, fostering collaboration among clinicians, researchers, and administrative staff.
- Monitor communication outcomes and apply insights to improve engagement and effectiveness.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and serve as a trusted advisor to department leadership.
- Identify communication gaps and opportunities, proactively offering solutions and adapting strategies as needed.
Communications Specialist Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, liberal arts, healthcare, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related area.
- Proven expertise in strategic communications, content creation, media relations, and digital engagement.
- Strong writing, editing, and interpersonal skills with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical communications is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while building relationships across teams and disciplines.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
