About the Role
Reporting directly to the Director of Communications within the Office of the Cabinet Secretary, this position plays a key role in crafting and delivering messages that inform, engage, and inspire West Virginians.
You will:
- Develop compelling content including press releases, speaking points, fact sheets, and publications
- Create website and social media content that drives engagement and trust
- Collaborate on high-visibility initiatives that often address sensitive and important public health topics
- Help shape the voice and public image of the Department across multiple platforms

What You Bring
- A Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, English, or a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong judgment, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to confidentiality
