Position type: Part-Time Contract to hire
Duration: 6 months
Location: Wilmington, DE Remote position, but must be within commuting distance for meetings.

The Director of Education at the Tech Council of Delaware is responsible for building and expanding inclusive tech talent pipelines. This involves designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating education and workforce development programs, particularly within the state's First State Tech sectoral partnership. The director also collaborates with stakeholders to enhance the state's tech workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Design and Development: Develop and refine education and workforce development programs to meet the needs of the tech industry and the state's workforce.
  • Implementation and Evaluation: Oversee the implementation of programs, including data collection, monitoring, and evaluation to ensure effectiveness.
  • Collaboration: Work with various stakeholders, including employers, educational institutions, and community organizations, to build a strong tech talent pipeline.
  • Workforce Services: Manage and coordinate workforce services, such as creating cohort schedules, procuring materials, and collaborating with community organizations.
  • Grant Writing: Ensure timely and compelling grant proposals are submitted to secure funding.
  • Outreach and Marketing: Create and release monthly newsletters and communication via Canva and MailChimp.
  • Event Planning: Coordinate and execute on community events.
  • Data Management: Collect and analyze data to track program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports for stakeholders, including funding agencies, on program progress and outcomes.
Example Activities:
  • Developing a curriculum for a new tech program.
  • Coordinating a cohort of participants in a workforce development program.
  • Conducting needs assessments to identify gaps in the tech workforce.
  • Creating a marketing campaign to promote a new education program.
  • Collaborating with employers to develop internship opportunities.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range : $25/hr w2
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
