Its unique purpose centers on fostering growth of winter sport in the State of Utah and to effectively manage the Utah Olympic Park, Utah Olympic Oval, and Soldier Hollow venues.

Overview The Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation's vision is to bring to life the Olympic & Paralympic spirit in our youth, our communities, and athletes from around the world. The Communications Manager will play a pivotal role in sharing the Foundation's story, enhancing its visibility, and fostering meaningful engagement across audiences.
The Communications Manager will work closely with the Marketing Director and Marketing Team to shape the Foundation's narrative, lead integrated communication efforts, oversee public relations, and craft compelling content across platforms. From storytelling to media relations, the Communication Manager's role will elevate awareness of UOLF's venues, programs, and initiatives-while driving participation and community connection.
Objectives of this RoleStrategic Communications & Public Relations - Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that highlight UOLF's mission, impact, and achievements.
- Serve as primary media contact across all venues; manage press releases, media relations, and speaking opportunities.
- Build and maintain a digital media kit and track annual coverage to evaluate visibility and influence.
- Craft storytelling campaigns that promote Olympic-themed programs, athlete journeys, and community impact.
- Pitch story ideas and maintain ongoing media engagement to keep UOLF in the news year-round.
- Manage internal communications plan
Content Creation & Brand Messaging - Lead content strategy across digital and print media, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand voice.
- Manage Marketing Coordinator in the development of content strategy
- Write and edit a wide range of materials, including web copy, newsletters, blog posts, fundraising appeals, press releases, and event communications.
- Ensure website and external content is current, vibrant, and aligned with UOLF priorities.
Digital Marketing & Audience Engagement - Work with Marketing Coordinator to develop digital outreach through social platforms, email marketing, and CRM tools to grow UOLF's audience.
- Monitor and analyze communication metrics to refine messaging and boost engagement.
- Lead visual storytelling efforts-capturing and curating photo/video content to support campaigns and initiatives.
Event Communications & Promotion - Collaborate with event teams to plan and promote national and international competitions, public programming, and community events.
- Develop marketing and communication plans tailored to each event, with a focus on attendance, visibility, and impact.
- Serve as a spokesperson at key events and coordinate media opportunities.
Community & Stakeholder Engagement - Represent UOLF in the community through strategic partnerships, speaking engagements, and program integration efforts.
- Support initiatives like Healthy Communities, increasing awareness and participation in youth sports and public programs.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications- Flexible work schedule - must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- This position typically operates in a professional office environment.
- Travel may be required for meetings, training, or other work-related events at other venues.
- Must be able to stand on feet for extended time, as well as, able to lift 20 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Hearing - to converse with other is a normal conversation.
- Balancing, bending, climbing, kneeling, walking, pushing, reaching above shoulders, and sitting.
Required Knowledge and Essential Skills- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Multimedia, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on multimedia production and digital marketing.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads, email marketing software).
- Strong understanding of multimedia production processes and software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro).
- Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.
- Creative thinker with an eye for design and storytelling.
- Ability to analyze marketing data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Positive attitude and participative work style with an ability to receive feedback, work creatively, effectively, and collaboratively in a fast-paced and varied work environment.
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills with a high standard of quality, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
