Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Communication & Events Officer for a globally respected industrial solutions provider known for its commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. This full-time position is an onsite role located in the Houston, TX area.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a dynamic Communication & Events Officer to lead the execution of internal and external communications as well as the planning and coordination of strategic events. This highly collaborative role works closely with various departments to deliver meaningful messaging and memorable experiences that enhance brand visibility and engagement. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and excited to make a measurable impact across multiple platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement communication strategies to strengthen brand awareness and community engagement
- Coordinate events including tradeshows, internal trainings, customer gatherings, and more, from planning to post-event communications
- Collaborate with design and agency partners to deliver clear, engaging content across print, digital, and social platforms
- Create, distribute, and analyze surveys and feedback tools to enhance event and communication effectiveness
- Monitor and update digital listings, press content, and social media while exploring new platforms for engagement
- Maintain vendor relationships and ensure effective coordination of supplies, materials, and communication resources
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years of proven ability to craft, edit, and manage impactful communications and public relations materials
- Experience managing and coordinating a wide range of events from conception to execution
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, video conferencing tools, and basic creative software (such as InDesign and Acrobat)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects with independence and attention to detail
- Skilled communicator who thrives in both collaborative and self-directed environments
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary of $70,000 - $80,000k/yr based on experience, along with a robust benefits package.
