Communications and Marketing Specialist

You are a creative and detail-oriented professional with experience in marketing, communications, and community outreach. You excel at developing engaging content, managing digital platforms, and coordinating outreach events to enhance public awareness of our company services. You are organized, proactive, and passionate about effective public engagement.

Location: Petaluma (Full Time Onsite)

This Position Pays: $28-$34 (TEMP ROLE 4-6 WEEKS)

What You Will Be Doing:

• Develop and manage digital and print marketing materials, including flyers, announcements, and social media content.

• Coordinate social media and digital outreach to promote SMART's programs and services.

• Monitor and respond to public engagement on social media platforms.

• Assist in maintaining and updating SMART's website with current information.

• Plan and support community outreach events, including ribbon cuttings and informational meetings.

• Assist in scheduling and purchasing media space for advertising campaigns.

• Prepare agendas, presentations, and reports for outreach events and public meetings.

• Operate video recording and agenda-sync tools for public meetings.

• Provide administrative support to the Communications and Marketing Manager as needed.

What You Bring:

• Associate degree (or equivalent experience) in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field.

• Three (3) years of experience in marketing, communications, or outreach.

• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

• Knowledge of social media platforms, graphic design, and web-based applications.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills and customer service.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant marketing tools.

• A valid California Class C driver's license.
