We are currently hiring for a field-based Commissioning Engineer/Technician to perform fault finding and commission Passenger Boarding Bridges and related equipment at airports across various client sites.

Your Mission and Responsibilities:

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will ensure all equipment and facilities at client sites are installed correctly, safely, and function as expected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct testing and deliver functional systems according to project scope.
  • Follow the companies Commissioning processes to ensure systems are properly tested and delivered.
  • Train customers on how to use products at both operator and maintainer levels.
  • Oversee the handover process to the customer.
  • Travel nationwide (including Ireland) and internationally as required.
  • Offer operational improvements and advice.
  • Create and implement test procedures.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults and problems.
  • Liaise with clients and installation/project engineers.
  • Supervise engineering and technical teams.
  • Analyze performance and safety data.
  • Write reports and documentation.
  • Provide technical support.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Time-served Electrical Engineering experience.
  • Experience with PLC controls and HMI systems.
  • PLC software experience is an advantage.
  • Strong technical knowledge.
  • Previous knowledge of the airport sector is a plus.
  • Full UK Driving License is required.

As the role involves working airside at international airports, the following checks are required:

  • 5-year continuous satisfactory references (required for airside pass).
