Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to drive the commercialization of private label products for existing and new customers. This role reports into the VP of Marketing and will be responsible for managing the end-to-end stage gate process from Concept to Launch with the aim of bringing new products to market successfully and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative cross-functional leader who can coordinate work across Sales, R&D, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality and Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Communications Create a project scope and plan for each approved private label project that coordinates all cross-functional activities and delivers projects on time and on budget with available resources and constraints.
- Manage Cross-Functional Team:
Drive new private label projects through the stage-gate process, ensuring the cross-functional team adheres to the plan; provide status of deliverables, communicate schedule, identify opportunities and mitigate risks with all relevant stakeholders
- Conduct Analysis and Research Support cross-functional teams through research and analysis of industry, customer, category or other relevant topics in order to enable project's successful delivery; this can include competitive analysis, product research, customer assessments like store audits.
- Presentation & Communication Prepare and present recommendations to stakeholders in order to ensure alignment and build a strong cross-functional culture.
- Process Optimization & Best Practices Identify and implement improvements in commercialization and project management in order to build best practices that support the company's long-term strategic plans from the lens of the commercialization process.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in project management or leading cross-functional projects

3+ years of experience in Private Label project management

3+ years of experience working in the food industry

Prior experience running Stage Gate processes for new product commercialization

Strong organization skills and an ability to manage multiple high-priority projects at once

Strong communication and leadership skills

Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving start-up business environment

Good working knowledge in Microsoft Excel and project management platforms

Ability to work under pressure and be comfortable with ambiguity

A self-starter and self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and ability to operate and influence cross-functionally
Working Conditions:

Hybrid work model available, with a preference for candidates located in or within driving distance of Corte Madera, CA.

This role requires occasional travel for industry trade shows, factory visits, and offsite meetings.
