Position Summary


The Commercial Sales Representative is responsible for account management and new business development for the commercial fleet segment. This role is focused on maintaining and growing an existing book of business as well as developing new business with an emphasis on selling fuel, lubricants, DEF, and related services. This position is based in Nashville, TN.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Provide direct customer interface, deliver excellent customer service, meet sales volume and margin objectives, educate customers, monitor consumption, negotiate pricing, and implement departmental business plans and programs.


  • Cultivate strong relationships with customers that promote and contribute to the long-term success of the company. Gain a comprehensive understanding of customer needs and expectations.

  • Demonstrate the ability to be well organized, self-motivated, and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Develop an expert knowledge of trucking fleets, construction companies, equipment dealers, major agriculture operations, and transportation providers within Middle Tennessee.

  • Generate sales leads through knowledge of territory and referrals from existing business relationships.

  • Maintain an accurate pipeline and proficiently complete administrative requirements such as CRM, credit applications, account setup, pricing proposals, and customer orders.

  • Continuously enhance sales skills and industry knowledge to foster professional growth and promote a professional image.

Education & Experience Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, 2+ years of experience in an outside sales position, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proven track record of professional success in outside sales.

  • Clean driving record.
