Ascend's team leverages financial expertise, market knowledge and strategic insights to guide clients in sourcing and structuring financing, while providing guidance for increasing NOI and asset value for their clients. We are seeking a detail-oriented, responsive, and highly organized Client Portfolio Manager to drive value for their clients.
This position plays a key role in overseeing the day-to-day financial performance and reporting of commercial real estate assets. This role will be client facing, with a focus on execution and customer experience. By providing exceptional client support and insight, this role will have an emphasis on expanding client relationships and revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial real estate finance, banking, and financial analysis, with the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks, coordinate a team, respond quickly to changing priorities, and communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Coordination: Act as the main day-to-day point of contact for a portfolio of clients, providing regular updates on asset performance and responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Team Integration: Coordinate the Analysis and Operations teams, ensuring accuracy in financial models, timely report delivery, and efficient workflow execution.
- Consulting Support: Assist with the Client Lead in developing financial models and analyses for consulting projects, delivering accurate information and insights based on client needs and market data.
- Revenue Growth and Retention: Focus on providing an exceptional level of client service and insight while identifying opportunities to expand existing client relationships by identifying additional services that may benefit client
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Work with the Financial Analyst to develop financial models, reporting packages, and property performance updates. Ensure all outputs are accurate, thorough, and aligned with client expectations.
- Loan Request Support: Coordinate financial analysis and due diligence for commercial mortgage loan requests, supporting the underwriting process with detailed documentation and data review.
- Risk Review: Identify potential financial risks or issues in asset performance and loan packages, escalating when necessary and help recommend data-driven responses.
- Client Communication: Deliver clear, concise financial reporting and documentation to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Workflow Management: Balance multiple responsibilities with shifting priorities, maintaining a high level of accuracy and responsiveness in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Commercial Banking, or a related field.
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience in commercial real estate, finance, accounting, financial analysis, banking and asset management. Prior experience managing junior team members or analysts is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with real estate financial analysis platforms is a plus.
- Task Orientation: Proven ability to complete multiple assignments accurately and on time, with high attention to detail and minimal oversight.
- Client-Facing Communication: Professional communication skills, with the ability to manage client expectations and provide regular updates.
- Adaptability: Comfortable pivoting between tasks and priorities throughout the day while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.
Compensation:
- Salary range of $85,000 to $115,000, with a performance-based bonus tied to client satisfaction and retention.
