We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join our growing Legal team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to engage in a high level of business and legal affairs in the commercial real estate industry. The chosen candidate will be responsible for handling complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and leasing for a variety of property types. This role requires a deep understanding of real estate law, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to provide legal guidance and support to our internal teams.

Responsibilities:

1. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial real estate contracts and agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, financing agreements, and development agreements.

2. Provide legal advice on a variety of real estate matters, including property acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, financing, and development.

3. Conduct due diligence in real estate transactions, including reviewing title and survey materials, leases, financing documents, and environmental reports.

4. Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, acquisitions, leasing, and development, to ensure all real estate transactions are legally sound and align with the company's strategic goals.

5. Manage relationships with external counsel, brokers, and other parties involved in real estate transactions.

6. Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect the company and its assets, and ensure the company's compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial real estate attorney, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.

3. Admission to the state bar.

4. Extensive experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial real estate contracts and agreements.

5. Strong knowledge of real estate law, including property rights, land use, leasing, and financing.

6. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to effectively manage complex transactions.

7. Strong analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to identify legal risks and propose practical, creative solutions.

8. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues and risks in a clear and understandable way to non-lawyers.

9. Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

10. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
