Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in transactions involving residential, self-storage, warehouse, commercial, office, gas station, mixed-use, industrial, and office-condominium properties.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of transactional documents, including purchase and sale agreements, leases (anchor and junior-anchor shopping center transactions), easement agreements, declarations, and association documents.
- Manage financing transactions, including construction, acquisition, and mezzanine financing.
- Oversee construction and development projects, including drafting and negotiating AIA construction documents.
- Conduct due diligence, including survey and title review, and manage the closing process for real estate transactions.
- Provide strategic legal advice on structuring transactions to mitigate risks and achieve client objectives.
- Stay updated on changes in real estate laws and regulations, advising clients on compliance and emerging trends.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree with 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate transactions.
- Licensed to practice law in Florida and a member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
- Strong transactional skills and a comprehensive understanding of the commercial real estate industry.
- Excellent judgment, business and legal acumen, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage files independently while also working collaboratively with other attorneys.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
