Commercial Litigation & Business Bankruptcy Associate - Palm Beach, Boca Raton, or Fort Lauderdale


Overview:

A well-established Florida-based law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated associate with 3-7 years of experience to join its Litigation Practice Group. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in commercial litigation and/or business bankruptcy who are looking to work on sophisticated legal matters in a dynamic and team-oriented environment. Positions are available in the firm's Palm Beach, Boca Raton, and Fort Lauderdale offices.


About the Firm:

The Litigation Practice Group handles a broad range of complex commercial disputes and bankruptcy matters for a diverse client base, including individuals, businesses, and financial institutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of commercial litigation and/or business bankruptcy cases in both state and federal courts.
  • Conduct pre-trial preparation, discovery (including depositions), motions practice, mediations, negotiations, and trial work.
  • Represent creditors in bankruptcy litigation and manage matters related to creditors' rights.
  • Draft high-quality pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies.
  • Provide sound legal advice to clients and work collaboratively with colleagues across practice areas.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Florida and a member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
  • 3-7 years of experience in commercial litigation and/or business bankruptcy.
  • Strong litigation background, including courtroom experience and case management.
  • Excellent writing, drafting, and research skills.
  • Strong judgment, legal acumen, and the ability to manage cases independently.
  • Confidence, professionalism, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Trial experience and a desire to take cases to court are a plus.
