Responsibilities
- Develops and manages new commercial loan business in the assigned market
- Retains and strengthens current relationships and seeks to develop new business through various channels such as cross-sales and working internal and external referral sources
- Analyzes applicant's credit history and loan repayment capability
- Negotiates credit terms such as loan repayment methods and collateral specifications
- Develops and maintains interest rate structure consistent with bank policies and procedures and competitive with current market rates
- Evaluates potential client loan requests
- Keeps documentation exceptions to a minimum
- Maintains a diligent collection effort in order to keep past dues at an acceptable level
- Actively participates in local business and community events
- Attends team and bank meetings as scheduled
- Adheres to compliance with all federal bank regulations and laws, including those for consumer protection and the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in business, finance or related field or equivalent experience
- Five years' previous commercial lending experience
- Proven track record of managing relationships and developing new business
- Knowledge of lending policies, procedures and regulations
- Strong financial analysis abilities, solid credit administration skills, excellent communication skills and sales ability a must
- Must be willing to work flexible and extended hours
