Job Summary:
As a Commercial Lender, you will manage and grow a portfolio of commercial loans ranging from $500K to $1.5MM, primarily serving small businesses and professional service providers in the Southeast, MI area. Your role will focus on building long-lasting relationships with local entrepreneurs, understanding their unique needs, and providing customized financial solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial loans, ensuring strong financial performance and high levels of client satisfaction.
- Assess client financial needs and creditworthiness, crafting tailored loan solutions backed by thorough risk assessment and prudent lending practices.
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, positioning us as their trusted financial partner.
- Engage actively in community events and business gatherings to promote our services and enhance our community presence.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that lending practices align with our risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in commercial lending, particularly with loans sized between $500K and $1.5MM.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and commercial real estate and C&I lending.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills and a proven track record in business development.
- Familiarity with the Southeast Michigan business environment is highly desirable.
