SGC is a glass and glazing company specializing in all aspects of residential and commercial glass installation, repair, and replacement. The family-owned company has been serving Northern Colorado clients since 1961, including homebuilders, remodelers, institutions, and commercial contractors.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

We are seeking an experienced commercial glazing project manager specializing in fabrication and installation of curtain wall and storefront, commercial doors and glass projects. Must have project management experience with construction/glazing work in commercial ground up and tenant improvement applications. As Commercial Glazing Project Manager, you will use your prior experience and specific knowledge of glazing and installation in the commercial construction business. You will hone your management skills, and ability to work within a team. You will focus your detail-oriented nature to help the Slade Glass team to work at a faster than average pace. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage all details of commercial glazing projects-from cradle to grave-in accordance with industry and SGC best management procedures for both negotiated and hard bid projects.

2. Collaborate with other project managers, estimators, project foreman, and coordinators to monitor, assist, critique, and help manage any SGC commercial project.

3. Participate in any start-up, progress, and closeout commercial project meetings.

4. Develop successful relationships with general contractor customers, vendors, and internal team members.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Creating and managing project folders in both physical and digital form.

o Using project management tools/techniques/software to monitor and control all aspects of assigned projects.

o Manage required specifications of job per estimate and executed contract.

o Reviewing drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to prepare project documents needed for successful job completion that meets or exceeds customer expectations.

o Computing project costs and profit margins by analyzing labor and material costs in order to prepare final project costs for accounting.

o Conducting site visits and attending site meetings to manage project milestones and/or customer expectations and further develop customer/SGC relations.

o Ordering of material, supplies, and equipment needed to perform work.

o Scheduling of installation crews and communication with them and/or project foreman on a daily basis.

o Managing scopes of work and contract change orders or requests.

o Tracking and reporting all rework or reorders to supervisors for final project cost analysis.

o Attending and representing the company at different contractor meetings as directed by the project or management.

o Light facilities duties as needed to maintain smooth operations of projects.

o Monitoring and managing cost, schedule, and performance of awarded contracts.

o Preparing lessons learned for all phases of projects worked.
