Overview
The Commercial Financial Manager, FP&A is responsible for managing the annual plan and processes encompassing budget software setup, planning, preparations, and implementation of plan into financial ERP systems. The role will serve as finance partner; coordinating and working with cross-functional and financial architect teams to develop effective reporting and providing insights to the leadership teams toward the financial plan. The Commercial Finance Manager, FP&A East Region, is responsible for FL/IN/KY/NY with 3 direct reports.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage the development of the annual sales plan
- Collaborate with business users and technical team members to develop detailed planning systems, design specifications and components to best optimize the planning process
- Direct the planning process, maintenance, and implementation of new programs and/or processes to achieve organizational objectives and ensuring compliance with financial requirements within established timeframes
- Analyze a variety of financial information providing direction and support, making recommendations and/or ensuring that overall operations are within budget
- Complete financial analysis that provides new business insight by identifying trends, cost drivers, or opportunities to improve profitability.
- Manage and coordinate financial reporting and serve as financial reporting partner for cross functional projects
- Prepare monthly financial reviews and reports for the leadership team
- Compile data from a wide variety of sources for analyzing issues and proving insights
- Create reporting metrics and analyze various data related to company performance
- Coach and counsel team members; plan and monitor employee goals, and appraise performance
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Additional Primary Responsibilities
- The Commercial Finance Manager, FP&A East Region is responsible for FL/IN/KY/NY with 3 direct reports.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor s Degree plus 2-3 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting
- Experience with P&L responsibility, financial planning, and pricing management in the CPG industry; or related work experience with an industry supplier and wholesaler
- Willing to travel 10-20%
