Experience:
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in commercial construction estimation.
- Candidates just out of college with a know-it-all attitude need not apply.
- Seeking individuals open to new approaches and not stuck in rigid ways.
Project Experience:
- Preference for candidates with project experience in Hotel, Commercial, and Higher Education construction.
- Consideration for candidates with the right experience, even without a degree.
Education:
- While a degree is preferred, candidates with substantial relevant experience will be considered.
Software Skills:
- Proficiency in Bluebeam and Excel is essential.
- Familiarity with Timberline is a plus but not a deal breaker.
- Software experience in estimation is highly valued.
Construction Material Experience:
- Estimating experience with wood, steel, and related materials is desirable.
- Concrete experience is not a fit for this role.
Personality Fit:
- A type personality preferred.
- Willingness to complete a survey; results will be shared with the company.
- Decision-maker, detail-oriented, professional marketer (not necessarily a social butterfly).
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Start at 7:30 am, take ownership of office space.
- Write bid packages, engage in the bidding process.
- Handle phone calls, review bidder lists, and bids.
- Build scope sheets and estimate templates.
Travel:
- Travel required only for job sites and meetings.
