About Us

Rowdy Red Construction is a San Francisco-based general contractor specializing in high-quality tenant improvement (T.I.) and commercial renovation projects. We pride ourselves on smart planning, sharp execution, and building lasting relationships with our clients, design teams, and trade partners. As our portfolio grows, we're looking for a seasoned Superintendent to join the team and help drive successful project delivery on site.

General Role Description

We're looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Superintendent with 15-20 years of experience managing commercial construction projects. While we appreciate experience with ground-up construction, our core business is T.I.-and that's the expertise we value most.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of complex build-outs, a proactive leadership style, and the ability to navigate challenging schedules and occupied buildings. You'll lead the day-to-day field operations, coordinate with subs, and ensure our projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all on-site construction activities
  • Maintain daily jobsite reports, track progress, and identify potential delays or issues
  • Coordinate trades and ensure adherence to project schedule and phasing
  • Enforce site safety, cleanliness, and company standards
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and design team to resolve field issues
  • Oversee quality control and punch list completion
  • Interface professionally with clients, property managers, and building staff
  • Support closeout and turnover process
Qualifications
  • 15-20 years of experience in commercial construction, with a strong focus on T.I. work
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver projects in active or occupied environments
  • Knowledge of San Francisco building practices and logistics
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and schedules
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Tech-savvy enough to work with project management software and basic reporting tools (Procore)
What We Offer
  • High-impact leadership role on complex commercial projects
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • Collaborative team culture and direct access to leadership
  • Steady pipeline of high-quality T.I. work across San Francisco
