A leading commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled professional with a strong background in estimating diverse commercial projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing accurate project cost estimates, ensuring competitive bids, and contributing to the company's continued success.
Responsibilities:Prepare detailed cost estimates for diverse commercial construction projects, including ground-up, renovations, and adaptive reuse.
Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to develop accurate quantity takeoffs and pricing.
Work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure accurate scope coverage.
Develop and manage bid proposals, ensuring timely submission and competitive positioning.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop feasible project budgets and strategies.
Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, labor rates, and market conditions to refine estimating strategies.
Utilize estimating software and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Conduct value engineering assessments to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality.
Participate in pre-construction meetings, offering insights on project feasibility and budgeting.
Assist in contract negotiations, ensuring alignment between estimates and final agreements.
Qualifications:5 years of commercial construction estimating experience.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
Experience estimating diverse commercial projects, such as office buildings, warehouses, healthcare, retail, and industrial facilities.
Proficiency in estimating software and construction management tools.
Excellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
