Responsibilities:
Work alongside a team of estimators ranging from entry-level to senior-level and have a desire to mentor and coach lower-level estimators. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Preconstruction - provide preconstruction services, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Bid Preparation - develop scopes of work, qualify subcontractor bids, complete bid forms and submit to owners.
- Bid Award - Transfer bid documentation to the construction team, review and suggest modifications to owner contracts, and issue subcontracts.
- Continuous Improvement - Develop procedures for each area of responsibility, continually review job responsibilities for areas to improve or streamline.
Work Characteristics:
The successful candidates must be flexible, well organized, and work well in a team environment. Positive attitude and willingness to learn are required. Strong interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written, are necessary. Candidate must also possess good time management and problem-solving skills.
Skills/Experience:
- Work Experience - At least (2-5) years of experience in Estimating for Retail or Medical Office.
- Software - Advanced in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel and Microsoft Project. Proficient in Bluebeam, Bidmail and CMIC are ideal.
