Job Title: Commercial BAS/DDC Controls Service Technician

Job Summary


We're looking for a skilled Commercial BAS/DDC Controls Service Technician to join our team in Dallas, TX. In this role, you'll be responsible for installing, programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting HVAC control systems across various commercial and industrial facilities. Responsibilities


  • Install, program, and commission HVAC control systems, including Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Direct Digital Controls (DDC).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
  • Perform system updates, calibrations, and software upgrades as needed.
  • Interpret and work from electrical wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documents.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver customized control solutions.
  • Provide technical support and training for customers and internal staff.
  • Document service work and maintain accurate records for compliance and reporting.

Qualifications


  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with HVAC control systems, BAS, and DDC.
  • Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting major control platforms
  • Solid understanding of low-voltage electrical systems, networking, and communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Associate degree or technical certification in HVAC, electronics, or related field.
  • Familiarity with energy management systems and building analytics tools.
  • Experience with industrial automation and PLC programming.

Work Environment


  • Based in Dallas, TX, with travel to customer sites throughout the region.
  • Work is conducted in various commercial, industrial, and institutional environments.
  • Must be available for occasional after-hours service calls and commissioning support.
