ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Combatant Command Logistics Expert to join our team in Herndon, VA. As the Combatant Command Logistics Expert, you will be the local point of contact (POC) responsible for overseeing and coordinating global commercial logistics and sustainment efforts to support military operations. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial logistics and sustainment best practices and future capabilities, as well as strong leadership and coordination skills to integrate these solutions effectively with military plans and operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Management: Advise and Assist the Senior Program Manager with Commercial Logistics and Sustainment forecasting, including the integration of Service components and lead the transformation and modernization efforts for the Task Order, onboarding new capabilities, processes and technology to enhance task area efficacy and operational relevance.
Support large, government-industry partnerships and manage contract performance to include finances and budget management for cost-reimbursable contract and manage daily execution of operations, reporting, and subcontractor oversight.
Perform all roles and responsibilities of the Senior Program Manager in their absence.
Leadership and Teamwork: Confer with Task Order Leadership Team to maintain an overall understanding of deliverables, the operational environment, and serve as a Commercial Logistics and Sustainment resource to the Program Manager and Task Order Leadership Team, providing expert opinion and support to the Mission Operations Lead and respective functional staff.
Expertise Relationship: Serve as the chief expert in all aspects of Commercial Logistics and Sustainment and serve as primary liaison with organizations requiring Commercial Logistics and Sustainment to support planning and scheduling for both forecasted and emergent requests.
Strategic Thinking: Establish and leverage our Commercial Logistics and Sustainment Knowledge Base (KB) to prepare for and execute assigned missions, leveraging the latest commercial best practices and experiences to improve our Team and quality of support.
This position will require 100% travel Minimum Qualifications: 15+ years of progressive global/regional management experience. 10+ years specifically supporting commercial and/or military operations, with demonstrated expertise in international regulations (ITAR, FAR) and complex project management (budgeting, risk, tracking).
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Ability to obtain a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP).
Direct experience supporting and providing a combatant command with a theater-level of logistics support including providing field and sustainment level of logistics, supply, transportation operations, warehousing and foreign partner contracting.
Direct experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management. Familiarity with business and financial principles and practices and working knowledge of budgets, forecasting, and metrics.
Global Logistics Expertise: Deep understanding of international freight forwarding, customs brokerage, transportation modes (air, sea, land), incoterms and foreign partnership establishments. Military Knowledge: Familiarity with military supply chains, deployment procedures, and unique requirements for transporting sensitive or hazardous materials.
Contract Management: Experience in negotiating and managing supply chain management contracts, ensuring compliance and optimal service levels. Technology Acumen: Proficiency in overseeing the implementation of supply chain and operations management software and data analytics tools to optimize efficiency and track shipments. Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Logistics, Engineering, Military Operational / Strategic Studies or applicable technical field
Graduate from military operational or strategic planning course (Command and Staff or an Advanced Warfighting School)
Certification, experience, and training with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management; ISO 22301:2019 Business Continuity Management; and ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management.
Experience as military logistics leader (J-4/G-4, Service HQs experience) or General Operations Manager in a manufacturing, defense production, or logistics company. Clearance Requirements: Must hold a current/active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Physical Requirements: Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
