Salary Range: $15.31 - $19.68 hourly.
Working Hours and/or Working Conditions: WORKING CONDITIONS: General office environment. Position will be located primarily at South Campus unless otherwise directed by the department. HOURS: General shift will be Monday - Thursday, between 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. not to exceed 20 hours per week. The supervisor will work with the work-study student to make sure hours worked do not interfere with academic schedule.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong PC literacy including Word, Excel and Outlook; Excellent customer service skills and the ability to follow procedures are required. Strong typing and computer skills needed.
Supervision: SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Takes direction from the Administrative Assistant 5 as assigned and may take direction from full time staff. Reports to the Associate Dean of Business & Information Technology. SUPERVISION GIVEN: None.

Job Function

Perform various clerical duties in support of full-time staff and the department.
All applicants MUST meet the following criteria or will be marked 'disqualified':

- a current student at Macomb Community College taking AT LEAST 6 credit hours.
- currently have a work-study award given by Financial Aid - If you have not received an award or are not sure, fill out and submit this form and contact with questions.
Job Responsibilities

• General clerical duties including typing, filing, answering phones, photocopying, and faxing.

• May distribute mail and prepare mailings

• Pick up and deliver items from various departments around campus, as necessary

• Greet and properly direct students and staff

• Stock office supplies

• Assist with department forms

• Perform other related duties as assigned
Education

High school diploma or equivalent required. Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position.
