Raritan, NJ Essential Skills:
• Designing and Developing BI Solutions: This includes creating reports, interactive dashboards, and data models within the Cognos environment,data visualizations using IBM Cognos Analytics.
• Gathering Business Requirements: Working with business users and analysts to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Data Modeling and ETL: Designing and implementing data models, potentially including Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes.
• Performance and Reliability: Ensuring the performance, reliability, and accuracy of the Cognos reporting solutions.
• Expertise in IBM Cognos: Strong knowledge of Cognos software, including Framework Manager, Report Studio, and other relevant modules.
• SQL and Data Modeling: Proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling principles.
• Data Analysis: Ability to analyze data requirements and design solutions that meet business needs.
• ETL Tools: Familiarity with ETL tools like Informatica or similar.
• Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
• Problem-solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Cognos reporting.
• Performance Tuning : Perform performance tuning for reports and dashboards to ensure minimal load time and high reliability.
