REPORTS TO: Building Principal/Athletic Director/Head Coach
SUPERVISES: 100-125 students
JOB GOAL: To support the head coach and to provide a learning environment for athletes to improve their skills.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: - Coach individual student athletes in the skills necessary for excellence in chosen sport.
- Assist head coach in planning and scheduling practices in season.
- Assist head coach in maintaining necessary paperwork.
- Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behaviors at all times and establish and oversee penalties for breach of such standards by individual students.
- Assist head coach in organizing clinics and camps when appropriate.
- Assist, organize and oversee off-season conditioning.
- Attend/participate in clinics to enhance knowledge and improve program.
DURATION OF POSITION: 6 months (winter and spring season)
FLSA: Exempt
CLEARANCES: Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
