Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Turner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in setting and operating 2-axis CNC lathes, working with Fanuc controls, reading engineering drawings to BS/ISO standards, and meeting production deadlines. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Program Set and operate 2-axis CNC lathes
  • Work with Fanuc controls
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to BS/ISO standards
  • Complete first-offs, prove-outs, and inspections
  • Meet production deadlines
  • Conduct quality inspection of parts using micrometers, verniers, and gauges
  • De-burr parts using various hand tools
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Perform any other duties as required and deemed appropriate

Qualifications

  • Skilled in setting and operating CNC lathes and tooling
  • Experience in program editing and G Code knowledge
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
  • Proficiency in computer operations with a good understanding of CNC programs
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong mathematical skills
  • Attention to detail with excellent communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines with high quality standards
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime, sometimes at short notice
  • Motivated and an excellent team player
  • Experience in offline programming, especially Featurecam/Fusion 360 would be advantageous

Day-to-day

  • Setting and operating CNC lathes
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Programming and editing CNC programs
  • Conducting quality inspections of parts
  • De-burring parts using hand tools
  • Working independently and as part of a team
  • Meeting production deadlines
  • Occasional overtime may be required
  • Utilizing precision measurement equipment

Package

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.00pm and Friday 7.30am - 3.00pm.

Employment Type: Permanent Full Time.

Weekly Hours: 39 Hours + Occasional Overtime when needed

Rate: 15.00 - 19.00 Hour
