Nesco Resource is searching for multiple CNC SET-UP TECHNICIANS for an established manufacturer in the Plymouth, MI area. These are DIRECT HIRE opportunities.
Role offers a signing bonus and referral bonuses after 90 days of employment.
Shifts Available:
- Days: 7am-5:30pm, Monday-Thursday, with possible OT on Fridays
- Evenings: 6pm-5:30am, Monday-Thursday, with possible OT on Fridays
Pay: $25-40/hour, based on level of experience
Evening shifts have an 10% shift premiumJOB SUMMARY: - Ability to set up and operate all machines and production jobs as required to produce high-quality parts.
- Give direction to operators and trainees.
- Must effectively communicate between departments or personnel for prompt problem resolution.
- Must also be self-motivated and proactive in dealing with personnel and manufacturing issues.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Efficiently set up CNC machines, ensuring proper calibration and alignment for optimal performance.
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
- Select appropriate tooling based on job requirements and install tools in machines.
- Verify CNC programs to ensure accuracy and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the set up process.
- Diagnose and resolve machine malfunctions and programming errors to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
- Maintain appropriate documentation of setups, tool changes, and adjustments made during the production process.
- Maintain cleanliness, good housekeeping, of area/cells and hold employees accountable for these tasks.
- Support Compliance with company quality policies and procedures (IATF16949 & ISO 14001).
- Follow general safety rules, procedures and regulations.
- Perform Special Assignments as delegated.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: - High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years CNC Set-Up experience
- Experience with the machining casting process is required.
- Experience working with prototypes and tooling
- Familiar with Mazatrol and Fanuc controls
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of bore gauges
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. frequently
- Ability to bend, twist and stand for duration of shift
