Summary - Job Responsibilities - Activities:
Analyzes customers mechanical drawings and model files and produces CNC Punching Programs, Routers and Bill of Materials for each job received from sales.
Education / Experience:
Mechanical Engineering degree or Vocational Sheet Metal School
3-5 years minimum experience in programming sheet metal parts for CNC Punching preferably for AMADA Punching Equipment.
Required Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical dwgs and model Files in Solid Works and or Auto Cad or others.
- Good communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Organizes jobs for programming by evaluating customer priorities.
- Knowledge of Amada or Similar programming software for CNC punching
- Saves and downloads programs in the server.
- Maintains Engineering files and Standard and Special punch press tooling lists
- Has knowledge of the punching G & M codes and incorporates them in to programs
- Creates Routers for the shop in effective sequence of operations
- Creates the Bill of Materials for Metal, Hardware and Finish Requirements
- Requisitions necessary tooling as required for any job.
- Works closely with Sales, QC and CNC Punching department.
- Good Computer skills in Microsoft office standard applications word. excel etc.
