Volt is immediately hiring an CNC Programmer for a leading manufacturing company in Anaheim Ca.

As a CNC Programmer you will:

  • Program, setup, and operate CNC, Conventional, and manual machinery to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts as required
  • Program CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, Punch Press, and Chop Saws
  • Studies engineering drawings, manuals, or specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances
  • Select and set up tools and equipment needed for production run
  • Cut and fit parts according to engineering drawings.
  • Measure, mark, and set dimensions for machining
  • Verify part alignment and tolerances
  • Monitor machines for errors, adjust machine settings for proper operation, and fix issues
  • Organize and label production parts.
  • Identify completed parts with relevant details.
  • Perform drilling and tapping of holes on parts for fabrication
  • Removes all scuff marks and scratches from aluminum
  • Prepares and organizes tools and parts for use in the manufacturing area.
  • Lift, position, and transport parts and tools.
  • Manage scrap materials and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Prepare tools and parts for fabrication.
  • Check unit dimensions before final approval.
  • Cleans and prepares surfaces for a final inspection.
  • Communicate and collaborate with coworkers.
  • Support inspections and safety regulations (OSHA).
  • Ensure quality control before shipping.
  • Perform additional assigned duties.
This is a full time temp to hire opportunity

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Training in set-up and operation of CNC vertical and horizontal mills, hand mills, and lathes
  • Experience working as a machinist utilizing various CNC machines
  • Must be able to use measuring equipment such as tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other common machinist measuring tools and instruments
  • Must be able to self-inspect personal work and correct discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Must be able to interpret engineering drawings
  • Must demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in interpreting Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Schedule: Monday to Friday 2nd shift: 2pm-10:30pm

Pay: $28-35 per hour

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
