Overview Responsible for working closely with manufacturing planner and CNC shop personnel to produce reliable CNC processes to meet customer requirements by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities- Designs and creates NC programs for sheet metal products, sheet metal products related form-tooling, extrusion products, 3-axis milling customer products.
- Plans details of CNC related operation.
- Provides accurate setup documentation.
- Validates NC programs prior to production use by using verification software.
- Approves and places NC programs, setup information on machine server for shop use.
- Performs troubleshooting on CNC programming related problems.
- Participates in troubleshooting on production related problems.
- Upkeeps and/or maintains master files of programming.
- Optimizes feed rate and spindle RPM to for cost affectivity.
- Integrates improved and/or new cutting tool technology.
- Participates in the improvement process by utilizing lean manufacturing method.
- Proposes feasible solutions for future overall process improvements.
- Attends and participates in all safety tranings.
