Job Title: CNC ProgrammerJob Description
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer with a deep understanding of Makino's Modular Machining Complex (MMC2) technology and modular automated material handling systems. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of Fanuc Macros and be adept at using machine variables in NC Programs. A full understanding of advanced CNC editing and programming, including CAM programming with software such as Surf cam, UG/NX, and Mastercam, is essential.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate schedules and set up CNC machines and manufacturing cells to meet production demands.
- Document setups and train personnel on proper setup and operation of jobs.
- Maintain heightened awareness of project schedules and ensure jobs are set up and run according to project deadlines and budget performance.
- Anticipate and mitigate obstacles in the setup and operation of jobs.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 10 years programming and setting up horizontal and vertical CNC machines.
- Strong knowledge of shop skills and shop environment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow-up.
- Strong math skills.
- Understanding of ISO Quality Policies and ability to operate within its framework.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of automotive aftermarket products.
- Proficiency in Renishaw probing routines.
- Lean manufacturing skills.
- Experience with shop floor inspection tools.
- Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
- Experience in investigating and analyzing non-conformances.
- Commitment to pursuing zero defects.
Work Environment
The work environment is a shop setting where the candidate will be expected to demonstrate strong shop skills. The position requires good attendance and punctuality, as well as the ability to work well with others to maximize productivity. The candidate must be self-starting, motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision. A proactive approach to tasks and a focus on maintaining project schedules and deadlines are crucial.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
Min 10 years programming and setting up horizontal and vertical CNC machines.
Strong knowledge of Shop Skills and shop environment.
Must be able to work with a minimum amount of supervision and follow up.
Must be team oriented.
Must have good communication skills.
Lean Manufacturing skills a plus.
Knowledge and use of shop floor inspection tools.
Work well with others to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Detail oriented mindset required to support the investigation and analysis of non-conformances.
Pursue of zero defects.
