About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to develop and optimize CNC programs for precision manufacturing. You will play a crucial role in enhancing efficiency, driving innovation, and ensuring the highest quality in our production processes. Key Responsibilities
- CNC Programming: Develop and refine advanced CNC programs and toolpaths for 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC mills, primarily Haas machines (VF2SS/UMC500SS).
- G-Code & Post Processing: Edit G-code manually and create custom post-processors to enhance machine performance and accuracy.
- Process Optimization: Continuously assess and improve existing CNC programs to enhance efficiency, precision, and quality.
- Machine Setup: Assist with CNC machine setups, including selecting appropriate tools, fixtures, and attachments for optimal production.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure all manufactured parts meet or exceed specifications.
- Material Expertise: Work with a diverse range of materials, including aluminum, steels, stainless steels, brass, copper, titanium, nickel alloys, and more.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve machining issues to maintain seamless production operations.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and machinists to enhance part designs for manufacturability.
- Mentorship & Training: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior CNC programmers and machine operators.
- Research & Development: Stay informed about industry advancements and emerging technologies to drive innovation and process improvements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer, preferably in a high-precision manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CNC programming for multi-axis mills, with experience on Haas machines preferred.
- Strong ability to edit and optimize G-code and post-processors.
- In-depth knowledge of machining principles, tooling selection, and material properties.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on process efficiency and quality improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience mentoring junior team members is a plus.
