Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret detailed Auto CAD drawings and Solid models
  • Use Gibbs Cam to create accurate and efficient CNC programs to be used in the machining of oilfield components
  • Update, modify and improve existing programs to current revisions, methods, and updated tooling
  • Work closely with shop floor personnel on "dialing in" machining processes to lower cost and improve quality
  • Trouble shoot and correct machining problems
  • Test new processes and tooling to lower costs
  • Work with Engineers to improve manufacturability of new and existing products
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects
  • Abide by all safety rules and requirements
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in CNC programming or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 8 years' experience working within machine shop environment
  • Minimum 5 years' experience programming with Gibbs CAM
  • Experience programming both lathes and mills up to 5 axis
  • Familiar with Haas and Fanuc Controls
  • Experience in Solid Works is a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, and speeds for various materials
  • Experience setting up and running CNC lathe and mills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to work weekends as needed
