CNC Machinist - Technical Sales Support

Excellent career opportunity to utilize your machinist background. We are seeking a machinist with excellent tooling knowledge to assist our metal manufacturing customers and outside sales team. You will provide technical support to our customers and continue to learn about cutting-edge tooling technology.

Responsibilities
- Assist Tooling Outside Sales team by serving as the primary internal contact for assistance.
- Provide quotes & enter orders for tooling and other departments as needed.
- Provide knowledgeable and courteous service to our customers. May enter orders into the computer & check pricing and delivery, fax confirmation of order with pricing, inform the customer of past due orders, etc.
- Assist with EOS processing on the tooling items that get quoted and ordered.
- Help answer overflow Tooling calls. Provide phone back-up for Inside Sales for vacations, meetings, etc.
- Communicate with Accounting department to resolve cost/price discrepancies and with open orders not billed or closed.
- Attend Tooling Sales meetings and occasionally meet with suppliers regarding product updates, new products, etc.
- Other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as required by the position.
Requirements
- Knowledge of machining materials and processes generally gained through a 2-year technical degree or certificate in machine technology, or at least 3 years machine shop experience including working with tooling and accessories, setting up jobs, running CNC machines, etc.
- Ability to interact professionally and tactfully with internal and external customers as well as vendors.
- Ability to educate customers and offer additional tooling solutions and alternatives.
- Ability to organize and follow-up on multiple projects.
- Ability to operate and enter information into a computer.
