CNC Machinist - 1st Shift High-Mix, Low-Volume Precision Work

Are you a skilled CNC Machinist who thrives in a collaborative team environment and enjoys variety in your day-to-day work? We're looking for an experienced professional to join a well-established team that values communication, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do:

You'll play a critical role in setting up and operating CNC machines-including Mazak, DMG Mori, and HAAS lathes and mills-on both low- and high-volume jobs. Most jobs range from 1 to 30 pieces, offering the perfect blend of variety and technical challenge.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing at least two setups per job.

  • Preparing tools, aligning with assigned grids, and machining parts to meet high-quality standards.

  • Taking the first piece to inspection before continuing production.

  • Supporting teammates with setups, tool changes, offset adjustments, and troubleshooting.

  • Communicating effectively

This is an opportunity to join a 30-person team that combines long-tenured machinists with newer talent in an open, supportive environment. You'll also have opportunities to mentor others and help shape a positive, high-performance culture.

Must-Have Qualifications:
  • 5-10+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, or both.

  • Proven ability to perform multiple setups independently.

  • Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.

  • Skilled in inspecting parts, adjusting offsets, and using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools.

  • Clear, professional communication skills-especially critical for 2nd shift roles.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
  • CNC programming experience (Mastercam preferred).

  • Familiarity with Mazak, DMG Mori, and HAAS controls.

  • Experience running both mills and lathes.

  • Willingness to train or mentor fellow machinists.

If you're a detail-oriented machinist who enjoys working with a tight-knit team and takes pride in your craft, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today to learn more.
